That Left or Right situation just becomes extremely confusing! Today the little issue started with attaching and removing cables between the computer and the projector.
Those cute little blue connectors have two little blue ‘bolts’ that are either tightened or loosened, determined by the direction in which they are turned.
The common axiom is “Righty-tighty; Lefty-Loosey”. I can understand and retain that. Actually, when not distracted and NOT thinking about it, I can usually tighten or loosen pretty fast as needed.
But, when things begin to go wrong and I’m over-thinking the darned thing, the little blue bolts do not perform as directed. I become entangled with the determination of loosening. Lefty-Loosey, but is it MY left or Your left? Not asked about the direction that should be turned, but the direction that is BEING turned. When I turn it as from YOUR left, there is no chance of success…just flat that.
I could go to my mighty network of virtual assistants at VAnetworking.com for advice, but they might not understand. They have probably NEVER had to deal with this kind of mess. They might even laugh at me.
Righty or Lefty; Your Left/Right or My Left/Right…be glad that I am your Virtualista and not your brain surgeon.
