Officially, this week, I have received certification from VAclassroom.com for the Social Marketing Course offered there. That skill is added to the certification for Internet Marketing Virtual Assistant, also from VAclassroom.com.
I first learned about VAclassroom.com at my favorite online network for virtual assistants, VAnetworking.com . The other students and virtual professionals who hold the certifications were familiar to me and a great encouragement to try the learning processes offered at VAclassroom.com
Videos, practical assignments and exams, all presented with ongoing access to resource material for reference combine to give the student more than adequate information to work with the systems as a newbie. The material is well-prepared, well-edited and interesting for someone who has had some exposure to the social media systems such as blogging, social networks including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, plus videos.
The Internet has changed the way businesses can reach contacts with information. Even a business just down the street or across town can benefit customers and clients by presenting information about products and services online and available 24/7. Sure, all of us have to rest sometimes, but we’re also a species of night shifts, split shifts, employee/entrepreneur aspects. The Internet doesn’t respect time zones. There are people looking for information online every hour of every day. If one business won’t offer that information, another will.
As a specialist in the benefits and techniques of social media, I’m ready to work with clients to develop their Internet presence with self-hosted WordPress blogs/websites, manage their blogs and presence at the social media services and monitor their business ‘temperature’. Since first deciding to become a virtual professional in 2003, with the perception that virtual, but limited administrative assistant tasks would most likely be my field, the picture has bloomed and blossomed into much, much more.
