CRAZY is a Song Title, Not Your Social Media Life

by JudyAnn on February 18, 2010

“CRAZY” should not be your social media life. Social media services know CRAZY for you will not be good for them; this entire social media process is serious business. The social media tools that keep preaching to you that you should give them regular attention because they can ‘cut SEO ice for you’ are right. They can. As demanding little rascals, they are also most likely to be connected with CRAZY.

So, these services have made life easy for developers who will build tools to help you avoid CRAZY. Some are easier for entry level users; some are more complicated.

BLOGGING: When you think about writing your blog, does your heart rate increase? Hands get sweaty? Are you wondering what in the world you will write? Do the ideas just tumble out of your brain, but you wonder WHEN you will write? Does the idea of spending daily time on your blog give you a belly ache?

RELAX: Check your blogging resource at your dashboard. The terms will be different for Blogger, WordPress, TypePad or other blog frame, but somewhere on that dashboard is an option to schedule publishing. When the muse is upon you, you can write blog posts till it is over, save them and schedule to have them published later. How cool is that?

All have a ‘DRAFT’ option so you can set up the tidbits of material that will grow into full fledged blog posts. Maybe you need to extend research. Maybe you are waiting for the muse to come around.

You can maintain a blog and not spend time on it daily. You are the boss of the blog; you can decide if you will update your blog weekly, monthly, or other time that you prefer. You can take advantage of the tools that the blog frame has incorporated to help you avoid CRAZY.

Keep your blog posts in that 200-400 word range for awhile. When you have 10,000 words, break it up into a series of posts. You can connect your topic to a category in your blog so you don’t even have to stay locked on the one topic.

Blogging is a wonderful way for you to share information and maintain contact with people who are interested in your product. In the world of social media, Givers become Getters. The blog is a stupendous resource for you to GIVE to your target market.

TWEETING: The idea of those 140 characters can be another potential resource of CRAZY. But, wait, there are tools that will help you as well. You can set up a free account at SocialOmmph.com to help you manage your Twitter Account. There are many choices there, but scheduling your messages is the choice that will help you avoid CRAZY.

Twitter may look silly, but please believe me, it can be most useful to your business. Don’t go CRAZY; use your noodle and use the tools.
